Five Nights at Freddy's review

Five Nights at Freddy's is a point-and-click, indie horror game that has gained notoriety over the past year. The game takes place in a fictional restaurant called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. One night, the player, who is the security guard, has a shift from 12 AM to 6 AM while trying to prevent animatronic animal characters from entering the player's office. The player is given access to four security cameras that show the hallways and the pizzeria from a top-down perspective. The player is able to see the animatronics enter the office, and if they get too close, the player must use the lights and the doors of the office to keep them back.

Gameplay

The player must defend themselves from the animatronics for five nights. The player must watch the four security cameras in order to spot the animatronics before they enter the office. If the animatronics enter the office, the player must use the lights and doors to scare them away. If they get too close to the player, the player will be jumpscared. To prevent the jumpscare, the player can move the camera back to the animatronic. There are two difficulty levels: easy and hard. Easy mode gives the player nine power points, and the hard mode gives the player six power points.

Graphics

The graphics are simplistic. The player can see the animatronics in the cameras. The office is also simple, with a desk and a light in the center.

Replayability

The game is replayable for three reasons. The player can play this game again to get a higher score. The player can also play again to beat the game on the harder difficulty level. The third reason is so that the player can get a different ending.

The graphics are simplistic, and there are flaws in the gameplay. I would rate this game a 5/10.
